Nandu gravy in tamil/ நண்டு மசாலா/ Crab gravy recipe.

Crab(Nandu) gravy is very delicious south Indian recipes.

Cooking Time:

30 to 35 minutes. 

Ingredients:

Crab(Nandu)- 1/2 kg 🦀
Oil- 2 tablespoon 
Cardamom- 2
Cinnamon- 2
Cloves- 4
Onion- 2
Tomato- 1
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tablespoon 
Red chilli powder- 1 tablespoon 
Cumin seeds - 2 tablespoon 
Poppy seeds( kasakasa) - 2 tablespoon 
Pepper corns- 1/2 teaspoon 
Turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon 
Green chilli-4 nos
Coconut milk- 1 cup
Salt to taste. 

PREPARED BY CRAB(NANDU )GRAVY:

Step by step :

Heat a pan with 2 tablespoon of oil heated.

Once oil it's hot add to cardamom,cinnamon, cloves in fry and splutter.

Next add sliced onions.


Next add in the chopped tomatoes.


cook till it becomes soft.


Next add in 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell.

Add 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder. 


Next grinding cumin seeds, poppy seeds (kasakasa),pepper corns,turmeric powder. 


Fine paste of masala in mixer grinder.

Add masala paste. 


cook raw smell going to masala.


cook for 5 minutes oil separated in masala.

Add greenchilli .

Then add in the cleaned crab(Nandu).

Adding salt to taste. 

Mix the Crab (nandu) with the masala.

Then cover and cook for 5 minutes. 

pan side for oil separated Crab masala .

next adding 1 cup of masala water, once again cover and cook for 5 minutes. 

The crab will be pink once its cooked ,the Crab get cooked really fast. 

Next adding 1 cup of thick coconut milk, and once again cover and cook for 5minutes in low flame.

open it , last adding coriander leaves. 

Finally,  Crab (Nandu) gravy ready.
